Concept Project

Background
Hi, I’m Liel. I love to cook, create art, experiment with DIY crafts, and work on all kinds of creative projects.
I get inspired by the beautiful things I see online on Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Dribbble, Behance, random screenshots
I get, websites, pictures I take myself, memos, and notes
I make for myself to remember, and more.
For example, I can screenshot a perfect color combination for the living room from a home decor group on Facebook or save an Instagram post with a great exotic receipt I’d like to try out.
But what happens when I want to retrieve this inspiration and use it?
That’s when it starts to get tricky. My ideas are scattered all over, and I don't have time to look for them in each and every app. Most of this wonderful inspiration I’ve collected goes to waste.
During my research, I discovered I’m not the only one that experiences this inconvenience, which led me to think
about a solution.
And that’s how Simply was born.
The Problem
Creative people save lots of cool ideas in different apps.
When they want to start a project based on the inspiration they’ve collected - they have no idea what is saved where.
Retrieving the inspiration is slow, complicated, and time-consuming. This hurdle delays projects, and people end up feeling frustrated when something’s missing and it’s too tedious to go app by app to try to find it.
Project Goals
To create an easy-to-use app to collect and save ideas and inspiration from different sources (social media, screenshots, notes, YouTube, website links, etc.) in one place. The app will allow users to organize all their materials from across the web by theme-boards.
This way, users could easily access all the ideas they’ve collected in any theme - and have all their inspiration in one place, without having to go app by app and check what they saved and where.

Users Research
To better understand the problem and potential users’ specific pain points, I surveyed 100 people and asked them about their habits, needs, and frustrations.
85% of them were women, most of them between the ages of 32 - 40.

Saw a color in one of the pictures on your board that will be perfect for the color palette of the whole project?
Use the color picker to choose the color(s) you like, and they will automatically be added as a new item to the inspiration board.

have all your items in the size and order you want. Enlarge an item that sets the tone for the whole project, zoom in/out an item to focus on what you care most about, or reorder an item to where you want it to be on the board.

Future features
Desktop version
In the future, I will develop a web version that can be synchronized with the mobile app. This way, users could easily collect and organize inspiration from both their computers and their mobiles.
Chrome extension
This feature will simplify collecting and saving inspiration when browsing a website via a desktop. Our users could click the chrome extension icon for Simply and save the beautiful content they come across in seconds.
